Emptying litter bins

The 3000 plus public litter bins in Barnet are emptied on a regular basis. Litter bins in busier areas are emptied more often.

We want to make sure litter bins are available for use and to avoid instances of littering on our streets or around the litter bins.

Dog waste can also be disposed of in regular litter bins if a dog bin is not available.

Reporting litter bins issues

Let us know if you see an overflowing bin on a street by reporting it.

If you see a damaged litter bin let us know.

Litter bins on private land are the responsibility of the landowner or managing agent to maintain. If they are on land managed by Barnet Homes, please contact Barnet Homes.
