Message from John Hooton on cost of living support

In Barnet we’re dealing with a cost of living crisis not seen for a generation or more. The crisis will affect many of us in numerous ways.

We’re focusing on those already feeling the effects of this crisis. We’re doing so via a number of immediate responses including a residents’ support fund of £2million.

We’ll support residents with:

• budgeting
• accessing eligible benefits and pensions credits
• direct financial support
• accessing BOOST to help people secure jobs

We’re also providing additional funding to the voluntary, community and faith sector to enable community-led initiatives such as warm spaces and warm clothes banks.
