Why we've created the strategy

The Long Term Transport Strategy 2020 to 2041 is part of our wider strategy to create a sustainable, prosperous and healthy future for Barnet.

What the strategy aims to achieve

It sets out a plan for the future of transport in Barnet. 

We will put together a roadmap for achieving this vision.

It will also play a key role in supporting other core council policies, such as the:

• Barnet Plan
• Sustainability Strategy
• Growth Strategy
• Local Plan

The Long Term Transport Strategy was adopted by Environment Committee in September 2020 and contains:

• our vision for transport in Barnet to 2041
• possible proposals to achieve the vision
• an evidence base for the strategy
