This year over 94 per cent of children who applied on time for a place at a Barnet primary school received one of their top three choices, and almost 84 per cent received an offer at their first choice of school.
Councillor David Longstaff, Chairman of the Children, Education and Safeguarding Committee, said: “I’m extremely pleased that once again every pupil who applied on time in Barnet has received an offer of a primary school place.
“This year saw more pupils applying for places than last year, and a tremendous amount of work has gone into making sure there are sufficient places. It is the commitment of our whole school community which makes this possible.
“I also want to pass on my thanks to school staff playing a crucial role in the national effort to tackle the coronavirus pandemic by working to keep many of our schools open for the children of key workers and for vulnerable children.”
