Barnet Summertime music festival postponed till Summer 2022
Barnet Council is postponing its Barnet Summertime Festival till summer 2022. The music festival, which was to be the culmination of a summer of events in the borough including a popular outdoor cinema in Victoria park in Finchley, and a series of community carnivals and pop-up events in various town centres, has been put back until next year due to a number of factors. Ticket holders will be contacted with the option to keep hold of their tickets for next year's festival, or to have their money refunded.
A Barnet Council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately we have made the difficult decision to postpone the first Barnet Summertime Festival until summer 2022. We want to ensure a great experience for our residents and visitors, and due to a number of challenging factors we felt we couldn’t guarantee that this year for festival goers. Tickets sold will be refunded or will be valid for next year.
“We had a successful big screen cinema in Victoria Park, Finchley that entertained thousands, as well as community carnivals and walkabout street performances across our many town centres. While there won’t be a music festival to cap the summer, the free-to-attend Edgware Community Carnival (21 & 22 Aug) will feature live music from Barnet’s own talented local musicians as well as a funfair for kids and activities for all the family.”
