If you feel you have urgent welfare concerns about children or young people that require and immediate response, phone the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 020 8359 4066. The MASH team are available Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm and Friday 9am to 5pm.
Outside these hours you should report any concerns that need an immediate response to our emergency duty team on 020 8359 2000.
If you are worried that a child may be suffering, or may be at risk of harm, you should complete a safeguarding concern referral.

Universal Plus Referral Pathway
Where there is no need for a full assessment, referrals can be made directly to a Child and Family Early Help Hub, via the Universal Plus referral
Referrals are sent to the relevant Early Help Hub. They offer a range of brief interventions, where 6 to 12 sessions of support can be provided. This may include access to:
- evidence-based parenting programmes
- domestic abuse recovery groups (for children or mothers)
- young person / parent mediation to improve family relationships
- low- level parental conflict work
- targeted group or 1 to 1 work with young people around keeping safe, healthy relationships, self-esteem, as well as supporting families navigate services/signposting
This form is also used to access BICs and MOPAC mentoring.
