You can to enter a property number and postcode to see flood risk information in that area. This includes the probability the location will flood, the possible source of flooding and who manages the flood risk.
These maps are an indicator of an area’s flood risk. They are not suitable for identifying whether an individual property will flood.
Be aware, these maps do not include flood risk from ground water or flooding caused by blocked drains and burst pipes.
The surface water map can give you a good idea of where water will flow once it is above ground. The map also does not show the interaction between different sources of flooding.

Moving into a new property
If you are purchasing a new property, our mapping and the Environment Agency maps can't provide any flood risk information about an individual property.
Though these can provide broader flood risk information for an area, we encourage you to contact National Flood Forum (or call them on 01299 403055). They are a charity who give advice on flood risk to a property and getting flood risk insurance.
